Day Five, Friday 23rd

This day was a little different to the previous days.
It started off a little tough. We woke up still tired and doing everything with the sleep still in our eyes. We got in the car and there we went. The very last day.
I would have never expected this to be as difficult as it was to me. The thought of seeing the ladies for the last time was really a thing.
We arrived in the kitchen an immediately saw the great pile of dishes waiting for us. This must have been the absolute busiest day we have had all week. We felt tired, sad, even a little sick to be honest. The week had been tougher than expected.
For lunch, Susan, the main cook (there were two Susans), had made us some typically English yorkshire puddings with pigs and blankets. It tasted absolutely delicious the way she had made them. Rachel and I didn't have the luxioury of having lunch together today, that's how busy it was.
We were not allowed to leave just yet, they had a present for us. Totally unexpected but oh so sweet. It was a bar of real English delicious chocolate and some caramel wafer bars. They remembered that we had brought one a couple of days before so they had decided to give us some. Also, a little card with a personal message was inside of the bag.
That evening we had our tea at the restaurant, this was really the end. I ordered the cod and chips that I had served many many times and looked oh so delicious. ( it was). We said goodbye to the ladies one last time.
